Copying and pasting between devices works beautifully — as long as both devices belong to the same company and the same account. Apple's clipboard reaches other Apple devices on your Apple ID; Windows syncs to Android through apps that both want you signed in. The moment your mix is a work Windows machine and a personal iPhone, or a Mac and an Android, or a Linux box and anything at all, the built-in ways stop copying.
