Paste the text into the box above — pasting throws it right away (typed
it by hand? press throw). You get two short words — like
red-fox — and a QR. On your phone, either scan the QR with
the camera, or open throw.dog in any browser and type the two words.
That's it: the text appears on the phone, usually in under ten seconds
including the typing. A note, an address, a whole message — if it's text,
it throws.
The usual ways to send copied text from a PC to a phone all want something first: emailing yourself wants your inbox open on both ends, messengers want you signed in on the second device, cables want to be found. This is just a website on both devices. Nothing to install, no account to create, nothing to pair.
A throw is read once and then it's gone — the moment your phone fetches the text, the code stops working, and an unread throw evaporates on its own after 10 minutes. Nothing is stored, so there is nothing to go back and delete.
The same trick moves text from the phone back to the PC: throw on the phone, type the two words on the computer. Text up to 64 KB — notes, addresses, snippets of code, whole paragraphs.
